Akinobu Ono played the piano since four years old and sang in a children's choir. He started his singing and music theory training at the Meiwa Highschool in Aichi and completed a bachelor and master study degree at the Kunitachi College for Music in Tokyo(Department of deutschen Lieder and concert singing) in Japan.
Akinobu Ono was awarded the highest price at the 30th International Music Competition for Early Music in Yamanashi.
He moved to Europe to study baroque singing at the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis / FHNW with Gerd Türk, Evelyn Tubb and Rosa Dominguez in the study of master historical performance practice. Afterwards, he performs on stages and many concert stages in Switzerland, Germany, Italy and France as a specialist of Renaissance- Barockrepertoire in Bach's B minor Mass, St. Matthew's Passion and Christmas Oratorio, Handel's Messiah, Alexander's Feast, and many more Repertoires which is not only Barock, but Classical, Romantic and Contemporary as well.
